Bio: Sharper than Diamonds is an R&B group which is rooted in the Bronx, originally known as Next Level. The two founding members were Shynze & Niko who are cousins. They started off opening up for other artist performing at numerous venues across the tri-state area. With their innovative style, and hit songs that related to the inner-city youth, Next Level won over the younger crowd.

17 year old Drematic is the lead producer of the group. T-Smoove, 16, also a producer/artist was a former Show Time at the Apollo winner. Shynze, 17, is the lead singer of the group and was born and raised on the south side of Parkchester. While Niko, 16, is also one of the singers in the group.

Shango’s Perspective: In my (Shango Gutta) opinion, the young and ambitious quartet known as “Sharper Than Diamonds” definitely has a sound for the youth and all to hear. These singers pack more than an R&B punch throwing a straight right banger called “Driving in a fast car”. It’s a fly, flossy, high energy song. The joint had my head nodding, I won’t even front. I could definitely hear it in a club. This is one of them songs that as soon as it gets burn in your whip, your foot gets a little heavier. Bio: Since performing with Jay – Z, Akon, Juelz Santana, Jason Fox, D.J Envy he has put the experience he has gained from collaborating with these major artists to good use. As a result, Illaman has seen his fan base continue to grow while performing in venues nationwide.

This particular song is a dedication to everyone who has lost their life due to hip-hop violence. “Don’t be fooled by the glitter and glamour cuz n***s do be getting killed wit dat hammer”.

Shango’s Perspective: Illaman, straight outta Harlem, USA, IS FOCUSED. You can tell when you listen to his track “The G In Me”. The cadence of this song is Street militant (it strikes a cord with the soldier in you). I think anybody that’s on their grizzly can appreciate an anthem like this. It’s about changing your situation, on some G $h*t. Also, he sounds like a genuine dude really trying to say something with a point, but that’s just my perspective.
