Suspect In T.I. Shooting Case Pleads Guilty

Yesterday Pardon Thomas, a suspect in the 2006 murder of Philant Johnson, T.I.’s friend and personal assistant, confessed to his role in the shooting.

Thomas, 41 pleaded guilty to manslaughter, five counts of felony assault and tampering with evidence.

Thomas was accused of assisting his brother Hosea Thomas by driving the vehicle to what ultimatly lead to the shoot out and the death of Johnson.  The shooting followed an altercation in which Hosea Thomas had been hit in the head with a bottle at a party that T.I. and his group attended. The Thomas brothers then got in the vehicle and chased the group and open fired on T.I.’s van.

Pardon will be officially sentenced on November 17th.
