If you have a large enough shed, you could have it completely finished, wired for electricity, and plumbing run to it to create a tiny house. Because most of the costs are in the finishing, this would not be an inexpensive project unless you intend to do it yourself over time. Think about what type of construction you’re going for and consider if it’s doable given the size of your yard, the size of your budget, and the climate you live in. Those three factors will influence the dimensions, the materials, and the exact location you’re going to place the shed in. The most common styles you can go for are: A barn-style – can offer more space A cottage or a ranch-style – whether with or without a porch, these can sport taller doors A saltbox-style – better for colder climates, as it offers a very slanted roof to keep the snow off
