The quality of the playset exceeded our expectations. I was able to design it according to our preferences. The staff were excellent from the beginning to the conclusion of the project. So impressed!

After you’ve gathered the paperwork and decided on a style, it’s time to take out the tape measure. Decide which spot in your yard will be the one and trace out a rough outline with chalk powder. Once you bring that outline to a specific width, length, and height, jot those numbers down and take out your calculator. Whether you sketch out the design yourself or you find one that fits your dimensions on the internet, the next step will be to figure out how much material you need. No matter if it’s wood, plywood, OSB, metal cladding sheets, or plastic panels, you’ll have to note down exactly how much you need plus two or three more pieces in case you need a backup. Remember to account for material loss if you include windows, vents, skylights, or more than one door. Second, remember that your shed should rest on a gravel or concrete pad. While some people put their shed on concrete blocks, this is strongly discouraged as the blocks are difficult to level and can break or sink over time, causing doors and windows to bind. For your 10×20 shed foundation, you may be able to install a simple gravel pad and perimeter by yourself. A concrete pad is somewhat more difficult and will most likely require hiring a professional, although the final result should be a more solid and long-lasting foundation.
If you’ve got a backyard pool (lucky you!) it’s likely that you also need somewhere to store pool equipment and toys. Rather than have these items cluttering up the garage, keep them organized and conveniently on-hand in a poolside shed. Whether you’re an amateur creating in your spare time or a professional in need of additional work space, a private artist’s studio may be just what you need to get those creative juices flowing.

As soon as the schools and parks closed for COVID, we started researching swing sets for the kids. After looking around at Amazon and Costco, we ended up going with RU for the quality and free install (they had a special going). We’ve had neighbors who bought from Amazon wish they had one a little bigger and nicer like the one we have. The installers were great. They took the time to put it exactly where I wanted it, confirming multiple times. They were really nice and professional, even during COVID.Overall, great experience. Oh, and we never even went to the showroom (again, COVID). We did it all over the phone which was very easy. The customer service team was very easy and pleasant to work with.
The second thing you should think about is square footage. Think, for instance, about the difference between a 12×12 shed and a 12×16 shed. Glancing at the numbers, it’s easy to think of them as about the same size, but remember to think in terms of square feet. Those four extra feet of length add 48 additional square feet!
