RelyOn Nutec has received the accreditation from the Netherlands Shipping Inspectorate (NSI/ILT) for the STCW Medical Care and Medical First Aid training courses. We are also accredited to provide the combination of these training courses. Until recently, we offered these STCW training courses through a partner, but from now on it is possible to follow these training courses at our Rotterdam and Amsterdam training centres.
Medical First Aid
In the two-day STCW Medical First Aid training you will learn to act quickly and efficiently in the event of accidents and illness on board a ship. As it can be difficult to get someone ashore immediately, it is vital that persons on board ships are able to provide medical first aid to other crew members. The international STCW convention sets legal requirements for this. In any case, all officers must be in possession of a valid Medical First Aid certificate.

To participate in the Medical Care training you must have of a valid Medical First Aid certificate. It is also possible to follow a combination training where you can obtain both certificates in one training.
The certificates are valid for 5 years. In case of a positive outcome of the final assessment, the participant will receive a Certificate of Competence (CoP) approved by NSI/ILT.
We continue to expand our training portfolio so we can cover all your maritime safety training needs. In the upcoming weeks we will launch the STCW security awareness training. Stay tuned for more information!
