What is Shallow Water CA-EBS Initial Deployment Training?
CA-EBS is an apparatus that resembles a basic diving gear. The critical difference between diving gear and a CA-EBS is the size and functionality. As the name - compressed air emergency breathing system - implies, it is a system to employ in emergencies. And more specifically, it is made to use in emergencies when flying helicopters.
Shallow Water CA-EBS Initial Deployment Training covers knowledge and understanding of the particular hazards and properties of a CA-EBS and appropriate practical emergency response actions to take should the requirement for emergency deployment arise.
This training is designed to complement offshore safety and emergency response training. Thus, the training must be undertaken following completion of TPTI approved BOST or FOT courses and OPITO approved BOSIET, T-BOSIET, FOET, T-FOET, HUET or T-HUET courses (acceptable combination in Thailand only).
